Measured Survey, Scheme Design and Feasibility
Sketching
As an initial service some of our Clients are keen to understand what is “feasible” and we offer a service to provide some sketches and ideas, so a decision can be made as to whether it is viable to proceed to detailed design. This piece of work is sometimes useful to glean the local Planning Authorities steer on the likelihood of approval being given, by way of a Pre-Application enquiry.
Sketch Scheme
We can then develop the initial ideas into more detail and produce scheme plans, and images, consider budget build costs and any other aspect to reflect upon at the detailed scheme stage.
Mood Board
As part of a service we can provide “mood boards” – ie dovetailed to suit the need of the end user, but likely to have a series of snipped images and a review of ideas. This also aides visualisation of how certain material’s would appear when used in conjunction with a scheme.
Model
Usually, we provide a computer sketch up to illustrate the extension, building or space, that can be rotated on screen. Or, if needs arise we can provide a physical 3D model, such as the sample photo – this model was used at a successful Planning Hearing that enabled the Inspectorate and interested participants to visualise the proposal.
Press
From time to time, we appear in local and national papers and magazines as part of a design led piece of work. One of our projects was also included as an insert to a group of homes by the sea, narrated by Architect Charlie Luxton in his Channel 4 programme.
